You’ve probably seen those big yellow trucks with the two blue stripes out on the roads while driving before. Those brightly colored trucks belong to Penske, a truck rental company.
Penske has been around for nearly fifty years and have locations all throughout the United States. They offer a variety of truck sizes, 24/7 roadside assistance, and truck insurance to protect the items that you’re moving in case of an accident. This company is dedicated to making your move go as smoothly as possible by providing you with all of the things necessary to get your things loaded up and ready to move.
Penske Truck Rental is a company that rents out trucks that can be used for moving or just transporting large items. They know that moving can be stressful, so they aim to make your truck rental process as stress-free as possible with things like flexible reservation times, convenient pick up locations, and accessories for packing, moving, and towing that come included with every truck rental.
This truck rental company takes pride in their reliability, customer service, and convenience. They even offer something called greener moving in which they take measures to safe on fuel and make their trucks much more efficient to reduce their carbon footprint.
Penske offers a lot of things that set them apart from other truck rental companies. They offer 24/7 roadside assistance, so if the truck gets a flat tire or breaks down while you’re driving it, all you have to do is call Penske and they’ll send someone out to help you no matter what time or day it is.
They also offer a variety of truck sizes, ranging all the way from a cargo van to a 26 foot moving truck. Their 26 foot truck can fit up to seven rooms worth of things inside of it, so if you’re moving across country, you can pack everything up into one truck rather than having to rent multiple trucks to fit all of your things in.
If you have larger items that are difficult for you to carry and load into the truck on your own, Penske offers moving labor help, although there is an additional fee for this service. You can purchase boxes and other moving supplies through Penske as well, making it a one stop shop for all of your moving needs. They even include packing, moving, and towing accessories with their trucks at no extra charge.
They offer truck insurance with a variety of coverage options, so you won’t need to worry about your things being damaged during the move if you were to get into a car accident because all of it is covered. This also means that you won’t have to worry about the truck being damage in case of an accident because any damages that may happen, even just a dent or scratch, will be covered as well.
Truck rentals isn’t the only thing Penske has to offer though. You can reserve a self-storage rental unit through Penske too, and they make it easy to do by allowing you to reserve this online.
Penske is on the pricier side in comparison to some of the other truck rental companies out there. They have an environmental fee that goes towards properly disposing the harmful materials that they handle, which is great for the environment but does add some more onto the cost of the rental. Other than that, there are no hidden fees or additional charges that you will receive when you drop the truck off so long as you return it in the same condition you got it in.
Penske does their best to make the moving process as easy as possible for you. You can either go online or give them a call to provide your moving information so that they can give you a quote and reserve the truck for you. Once you do that, all you have to do is go to whichever location you reserved the truck at and it will be there waiting for you.
You can purchase whatever insurance plan you feel is right for you when you go to pick your truck up as well. They have multiple different coverage options for you to choose from.
If you need things like boxes, furniture padding, or dollies to help with your move, all of that is available both on Penske’s website and in their stores. If you need to tow a vehicle on the back of the truck, they will provide you with the accessories necessary to do this as well. They even offer help with loading and unloading heavier and larger items onto and off of the truck.
Once you’ve got all of your things loaded into the truck, be sure to make note of where the mileage is at, as well as how much gas is in the truck. Penske does offer free unlimited miles on one way truck rentals, but they do not offer this for round trip rentals.
Returning the truck is just as easy as picking it up. All you have to do is bring it back to whichever location you scheduled your return at, check out at the desk, and be on your way. Make sure that you’ve filled the gas back up to wherever it was when you picked up the van though, otherwise you will be charged an additional fee for the cost of the gas.
