EveryPlate Meal Delivery

BEST MEAL DELIVERY SERVICES

If you’re looking for a meal delivery service which provides good value for money, you won’t go far wrong with EveryPlate. This option sends out fresh ingredients on a weekly basis for customers to make meals at home. Furthermore, each meal only costs $4.99. This company wants to break the cycle of ordering takeaway repeatedly, instead providing an option whereby you can create delicious meals for either two or four people.

With EveryPlate, you will be able to either review menus which have been pre-selected or choose 3 unique recipes from a choice of five. It’s possible to cancel or skip an EveryPlate meal subscription if there are any changes to your schedule, and you can also change the number of servings, delivery day and so on using the website.

How it works

There are two meal plans available with EveryPlate; a plan designed for two people and another one set up for families of four. Subscribers choose three recipes a week, and they have been created for those who eat meat. After choosing your meal plan and recipes, the staff at EveryPlate will source and measure the ingredients necessary to create your choices before packaging them up and shipping a parcel directly to your doorstep. Once the delivery is with you, there will be recipe cards included which feature step by step cooking instructions to make life easier for you.

Part of the catch with having a budget friendly meal delivery service is that some weeks you may find that the five meal ideas don’t appeal to you. In such a scenario, you can skip a delivery by logging into your EveryPlate account and choosing which week you want to apply this setting to. Similarly, undoing this process is simple too. Furthermore, as you aren’t tied into a legal contract of any kind, it’s possible to cancel your subscription whenever you feel like it. If you want to make a change to your order, or you’ve changed your mind about receiving the next one, you will need to state as such by midnight five days before the next shipment has been scheduled for.

Meal plans and recipes

You will be able to choose three recipes as part of your EveryPlate delivery, and there will be either 2 or 4 servings per recipe, depending on your preferences. There won’t be options for customers to specify vegetarian or vegan choices, and customers should be aware that the meals will contain allergens such as wheat, dairy, and nuts.

That being said, there are a wide range of delicious meals on offer to create. For example, you will typically be able to choose from recipes such as roasted chicken, meatballs, pork chops, soups, risottos, sloppy joes and grilled cheese. These recipes are familiar comfort foods which provide customers with flavours they are used to and know they will find satisfying. For those who want to upgrade their EveryPlate meals, there is an option to select premium ingredients where they are available.

The meals provided by EveryPlate are simple to create and typically don’t take more than six steps. Furthermore, there aren’t often many ingredients, which means the preparation process is also easy. Washing up should be minimal, as many of the creations can be made in just one pot or pan. On average, customers can expect to spend between 30 and 60 minutes on a recipe, which results in medium sized portions.

Delivery and packaging

The good news about EveryPlate’s delivery is that shipping is available to all 48 states in the contiguous US. There aren’t shipping options available to Alaska and Hawaii, and this isn’t likely to change. Shipments arrive on customers’ doorsteps between 8am and 8pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. It’s possible to choose which day you receive a delivery, and change it at your convenience. Furthermore, tracking links will be available for all EveryPlate shipments.

Shipments arrive in packaging which works to keep food fresh regardless of the climate you live in. It’s also recyclable so you don’t have to worry about the impact you’re having on the environment. Plus, the protein is packed under the ice, so check there before throwing the packaging out!

Pricing

The pricing of EveryPlate deliveries are simple to grasp. Both the two person and the four person plans cost $4.99 a serving, and if you want to get premium ingredients, this will cost $3 more for each serving. The delivery will cost you $8.99, but this is quite cheap compared to other meal delivery services out there. If you’re a student, you can obtain further discounts on your order once you have verified your status with UniDAYS.

Verdict

The EveryPlate service is best suited to people who have no specific dietary requirements and want to make familiar meals on a budget. Students in particular may benefit from the plans, as they allow for good nutrition at a low price. It’s easy to use the service and select meals, plus you can adjust the details of your account at the click of a button. While it may not be for everyone, it will really work for many families who want to save some cash.
