With a subscription to Diet-to-go, you’ll get food sent to your doorstep on a weekly basis. These recipes and meal plans have been developed by chefs and nutritionists in order to provide food which is both full of flavour and healthy, to ensure weight loss.
The aim of this service is to promote healthy eating by allowing people to keep eating tasty foods, but making sure they are also packed with nutrition.
Diet-to-go offers four different weekly diet meal plans. Customers can choose from Balance, Vegetarian, Balance-Diabetes and Keto-Carb30. You can have between 10 and 21 meals sent to you each week, and you have the option of either getting pre-selected meals ordered or choosing replacements with the substitution menu.
There are two ways you can choose a meal plan. Either you can select the one which suits your preferences, or you can have a free diet analysis carried out, which will take your body mass index and dietary needs into account before recommending the plan which is the best choice. Furthermore, plans are customised according to whether they are for men or women. If you choose the Balance or Keto-Carb30 plans, there is also an option to select either omnivore or no seafood versions.
When you reach the final step of your online order, you will decide how many meals you want sent out each week. You have the choice of eating Diet-to-go meals either five or seven days a week. Within these options, you can either have the full program, which comprises three meals a day, or you can go with two meals a day, which is lunch and dinner only.
Once an order has been placed, chefs, nutritionists, dieticians and health coaches work to create meals with weight loss in mind that taste good. You can either collect the order yourself or opt to have it delivered directly to your doorstep.
As mentioned above, there are four different meal plans. Here’s more information about each of them:
If you go for breakfasts on the Balance plan, there will be options such as a fruit and granola parfait, chocolate zucchini bread and raisin bran muffins. Lunch choices include chicken black bean wrap, shrimp and pasta salad and a turkey reuben sandwich. For dinner, you’ll be eating dishes such as barbecue chicken, baked salmon with pineapple salsa and stuffed shells with tomato sauce.
Packages with Diet-to-go can be sent to anywhere within the contiguous US. Exceptions are Hawaii, Alaska and Canada, and this is due to both customs regulations and the need to keep food fresh while it’s being transported to your doorstep.
Each new delivery is shipped out on Mondays using FedEx, and food will arrive between one and three days later. An email containing your tracking information will be sent to you, so you will know exactly when it’s expected to arrive. Due to the weight of the parcels and the speed at which they need to be delivered, shipping costs will be $19.98 for weekly orders.
Subscriptions can be paused ahead of time if you’re going away, and you can simply log into your account and select the days you’ll be pausing delivery on to achieve this. There are also options to pick up meals in person, as there are over 200 local pickup areas which can be found by using the tool on the website. There is typically a window on Tuesdays and Fridays between 5pm and closing for pickups, although business hours at your nearest location may vary.
Meals from Diet-to-go are shipped in specially designed packaging to ensure they stay fresh and safe for consumption. All meals are packed on dry ice and shipped in styrofoam containers. Items which don’t need to be kept cold will be packed and shipped separately. The amount of dry ice used will depend on the climate you live in, as well as the time of year. Meals will typically thaw by the time they arrive on your doorstep, but once you place them in the freezer, they will be good to go when you’re ready to prepare them.
Diet-to-go meals are free from preservatives and other additives. Furthermore, the amount of artificial sweeteners used in meals has been restricted. Organic ingredients are used wherever possible, and all meals are flash frozen to preserve them. Meals have a refrigerator life of seven days, and they can be frozen for up to 30 days.
The pricing of Diet-to-go meals will depend on the number of meals you sign up for, the plan you choose and the number of days a week you’ll be using the service. As a general rule, you can expect to pay between $121.99 and $204.59 a week. The Balance, Balance-D and Vegetarian plans tend to cost between $18 and $24 a day while the Keto-Carb30 plan will have a price tag of between $21 and $26 a day.
The Diet-to-go meal delivery service has placed an emphasis on ensuring nutritious foods are created to help people with their weight loss. A team of professionals work to form a menu across four different plans to assist customers with reaching their health goals. The deliveries can be either collected or delivered, and it’s easy to pause the service if needed. Overall, Diet-to-go is a worthwhile choice to consider.
