The Loom & Leaf mattress is made up of four layers, providing a total of 12 inches – 2 more than the standard 10 inch mattress found on the market. You can expect a high level of durability and compression support with this mattress.
The Loom & Leaf mattress features a cover which is made of soft organic cotton and flame-retardant thistle, which leads to a nice cooling feeling when you’re lying down. There is also a thin layer of foam, which makes for additional pressure relief. After that, you’ll find a 2 inch comfort layer which comprises high-quality gel foam. This foam conforms to the body and is slow to respond to pressure, making it easy to move around. What’s more, the technology behind this layer means the cooling gel is evenly distributed throughout. There is another layer of gel on top of this material around the lumbar area, which has been designed to provide additional back pressure relief.
The compression layer lies underneath the gel memory foam, and it’s made of high-density visco-elastic memory foam. It’s similar to the cooling gel layer in that it’s slow to respond to pressure. It has also been specifically developed with the aim of contouring to the curves of the body. Both of these layers combined are sure to provide high quality pressure relief for the sleeper.
Next up is the transition layer, which is made up of polyfoam and works to support the sleeper. It serves a dual function in that it takes on the weight of the softer layers above it, while also transitioning into the base. This final layer is made up of 5 and a half inches of polyfoam, which is both high-density and helps to anchor and shape the mattress. The base layer makes the mattress feel particularly durable and provides security for the sleeper.

With the Loom and Leaf, you’ll get a mattress which aligns your spine and provides contouring support thanks to its responsive foam. You will be able to move around easily on this mattress, while also feeling softly supported. You will feel comfortable in many positions, making this mattress suitable for a range of sleeping types. The Spinal Zone Gel layer – at the top – puts in the work to keep your back aligned, and also helps to relieve any pain you may get from an uncomfortable mattress. The cooling gel with this layer helps to spread out body heat, keeping you from generating too much as you sleep and overheating.
If you’re a stomach sleeper, you will most likely get the most benefit from the Firm version of this mattress, as it will offer top notch back alignment while bypassing the creation of pressure points. Those who are back sleepers and side sleepers may be best suited to the Relaxed Firm variant of this mattress, as the contouring functionality will provide good support for your joints, and there won’t be a feeling of excessive sinkage.
The Loom and Leaf mattress comes with a 120 day trial, whereby you can try out the product and see if it is likely to suit you long term. If you find that you want to return the mattress, you will only need to pay the $99 transportation cost to return it. Customers should note that the Lineal Adjustable Base cannot be returned. Those who find they have ordered the wrong item will be able to exchange it by only paying for the transportation cost.
There is a 15 year warranty in place for Loom and Leaf mattresses. For the first two years, you will be entitled to a mattress replacement at no additional cost if it seen as defective under the terms of the warranty. For the remaining 13 years, you will be able to have a mattress repaired or re-covered by only paying for the transportation costs.
If a customer would rather have a new mattress instead of having their original one repaired during years 3 to 5, they will be able to purchase one for a quarter of the original price. In years 6 to 10, a new mattress may be obtained in such a scenario for half of the original price. Finally, a new mattress can be purchased under these circumstances between years 11 and 15 for three quarters of the original price. Furthermore, there will be no delivery fee charged for new mattresses, and customers can keep the original mattress at no additional cost if they so choose.
In order to have your warranty claim be valid, the mattress must be used with a proper support system. It will become void if a Queen or King mattress makes use of a metal bed frame which doesn’t have a support structure making use of five or six legs. Similarly, you will not be able to claim under the warranty if you have used a twin or full mattress with a metal bed frame that doesn’t have four legs.
Eligible defects according to the warranty are sagging or body indentations that are an inch deep or more, and haven’t come about as a result of misuse. The warranty won’t cover sagging or indentations which are under an inch, as they will be seen as standard wear and tear.
The Loom & Leaf mattress is a good option for those who want a comfortable and soft mattress which provides a medium level of firmness. The warranty and returns period are generous, and you will be able to relax into this mattress without worrying about excessive sinkage. Furthermore, the use of gel and breathable materials ensures you won’t sleep hot, and will find yourself gently supported in the right areas to avoid back pain or other joint troubles.
