We would be surprised if most people in the email marketing enhancing sphere weren’t familiar with Constant Contact. The company is famous with their aggressive marketing plan, the marketing services suite, and their core email service – we have EventSpot management of events, social campaigns tracker, SaveLocal feature deals, and many online survey options. The Constant Contact toolkit has an updated look and is ready to present us with comprehensive digital solutions for our marketing needs. It is most effective for small business, so keep this in mind before going too over the top with it.

Pricing

Both of Constant Contact’s plans are based on our contact list. All unique email addresses in our lists will be considered towards the ultimate number we have to cover. Even if we have an email present in more than one contact list, it isn’t a problem – it will only be counted one time. Non-profit organizations can also file for tax-exempt conditions.

The nice thing about the service is that we can try it totally free of charge for the whopping 60-day trial. Up to 500 contacts will be covered by the Email Plus plan without the need for credit card details. 6-months subscriptions will grant us a 10% off the total price, and yearly plans are eligible for a 15% discount. Verified non-profits can benefit from double that discount. Also, if we manage to refer the service to a friend, we get a $30 credit which isn’t bad at all.

The Personal Marketer product caps the users at three which, again, is suitable for small businesses better than enterprises. Constant Contact also lets us choose from two additional user-based plans but details for them can be found in contact with the brand due to their customized nature. Yes, we can choose what and how to use from their features, and this, in our opinion, is incredible. Going over to list based plans, we have two of them.

Email

The basic Email plan enables unlimited email campaigns per 1 user plus 1GB of storage space for our files. Starting with a cap at 500 subscribers at $20 a month, we can go over 50,000 subscribers – however, we need to call them beforehand as this service has to be negotiated with them first.

Email Plus

We have it up to three users here, with 2 GB of file storage space per user. This enhanced plan also gives us marketing automation tools, event marketing, virtual donations scheme, many polls & surveys, and even coupons. Starting price is $45 a month for up to 500 users, and again, we can go over the 50K subscribers’ mark by contacting the company to arrange our terms.

Email Campaign Creation

The WYSIWYG editor lets us play with 150 templates, an image editor, and a CSS sheet for campaign creation. There is also the HTML code option – it is usable for any image, text block, and all other elements in our email. We can also create our own templates using HTML/XHTML. We are free to wrap text around images, spell-check with ease while the drag-and-drop interface and edit images with the in-built image customization tool. Giving birth to a professionally done email will only take us a few steps but it can boost our marketing success percentages by a lot.

Tracking Campaign Performance

Constant Contact has made it clear that they are up to the task of reporting. Tracking our email campaigns will get us data on clicks, opens, spams, unsubscribes, and even bounces. We can see the total and the unique number of email opens, with the added possibility to track individual users who followed our attached link in an email. We can even compare stats in a chosen industry – viewing the averages gets us a pretty good idea of how we’re doing. Just be sure to enable real-time reporting and you’re good to go!

Help and Support

Constant Contact gets us started with tutorials and helpful pop-ups. The telephone customer support is outstanding, with swift responses and valuable information to be shared with us. The live chat support team is also amazingly friendly, so we shouldn’t have any concerns in that department. As expected, there is also an email option to contact the company, knowledge base available, social media contact, Webinars, Blog, and Community Forums.

Conclusion

All in all, Constant Contact lets us keep an ongoing connection with our customers. It is engaging, free of unneeded tools, and using the SaaS feels likes a breeze, even for beginners. An all-around complete marketing service software for smaller businesses!
